Meet The Doctor

"My goal is to find the root of the issue to improve the overall function of the body, create an environment where all patients feel heard, and provide the resources for patients to be in control of their health and be their own advocates."

- Dr. Amy Van, DC

Dr. Amy Van, D.C.

Chiropractic Physician

Dr. Amy Van was born in California but grew up right here in Marshall! She is the youngest of five siblings and was raised by her single mother, Huong, who many know as Lisa, the owner of Diamond Nails here in town! Her mother instilled in her the drive for success, perseverance, and the desire to help others. She is excited to bring her knowledge back to the place that helped shape who she is today. Dr. Van hopes to build a community where everyone feels safe and welcome.

Dr. Van earned her Biology degree from the University of Kansas. She worked at a vascular surgery practice for two years before realizing the traditional medical route wasn't the best path for her. She graduated with her Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Cleveland University-Kansas City with magna cum laude honors. Although she enjoys working with all patients, after watching her sister go through difficult pregnancies, she has a special interest in prenatal and pediatric care. She is currently working on additional certifications, including Webster technique (for pregnant moms) and obtaining her diplomate in clinical chiropractic pediatrics to better serve kiddos (our future leaders!).

Dr. Van's Story

Dr. Van suffered from chronic headaches and was prescribed pain medication every time she would seek care from her medical providers. She didn't feel right about masking her symptoms and wanted answers for what was going on. Growing up, she didn't hear much about chiropractic care and was actually quite the skeptic. At age 23, after 7 years of struggling, she sought chiropractic care as a last ditch effort. To her amazement, after 2 weeks of care, her headaches were completely gone! She had normalized her pain for so long, she didn't know what it felt like to wake up without it. Now that she had, she knew she wanted to help others find their own path towards living life to the fullest.

The dedication to finding the root cause is why she loves this profession. She understands what it is like to feel like a victim to your symptoms and how it feels to not feel heard by providers. When she realized how much chiropractic could help others and how little education people had on it, she knew she had to be a part of the solution. She became a provider herself to increase access to care and help others the way it helped her.
